John is a guitar instructor at Guitar Attention Center in Springfield, Ohio. John has instructed every single member of The Day Trippers at one point or other. He has been teaching since the 70's and is considered to be "The Walking Jukebox."

Along with The Day Trippers, John is also involved in his other band, "Studio." He also holds public recitals for his students twice a year and makes many solo appearances as well.
